Speedway in lights

This week we went to the Bristol Motor Speedway in lights. If you have never been to that area or are not a race fan it is, how do they put it??? The something's fastest half mile. World's, nation's, country's... I dunno. Anyway at Christmas time they have their charity based "speedway in lights" where they lights the race track property up with several million lights and all proceeds are given to charity. TVA produces the electricity for the venue and local businesses sponsor the scenes. It is a pretty neat thing AND you get to drive the fastest half mile --literally on the track! In the center of the track is "The Christmas Village" which is like a carnival. There are rides and kettle corn and hot chocolate and cider and bumper cars and funhouses and so much fun stuff to do. The girls rode everything but the bumper cars (don't know why they didn't care about those) and had so much fun. It was a great memory and we had a great time together as a family and with the friends we went with. If you ever get to the Bristol area this time of year you should check into this.

Hubby took these pictures on his phone. I forgot my camera.
