Happy Birthday Jesus

The room is set, the clues are written and I am so excited I may not be able to go to sleep tonight. Tomorrow is Christmas. My girls are both old enough now to be totally excited and it makes it so much more fun. We will get up and admire our tree with all of the presents, open up stockings and eat our breakfast. Then we will do our present exchange. Whoever finds the pickle on the tree (a German tradition) gets to go first. This person doesn't get to open first, instead we are focusing on the giving part soooo, the person who finds the pickle gets to get a present from under the tree and give it to whomever it goes. We will take turns giving presents and enjoying the other person opening their present. There are three bigger (sizewize) presents which have clues for the girls to go find them hidden in the house. It will be fun watching Ollie read the clues to The Turkey and then trying to figure them out together. I hope they have fun with this. My goal is for Christmas to last and be a fun full day.

Oh yeah, Ollie said before we open our presents we are going to stand around the tree holding hands and sing Happy Birthday to Jesus. She actually asked us tonight if we could do that before we opened our presents. How awesome is this and what a great child implemented tradition.

Luke 6:45 The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks.

Psalm 8:2 From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise because of your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.

Matthew 21:16 "Do you hear what these children are saying?" they asked him. "Yes," replied Jesus, "have you never read, " 'From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise' ?"
