  1. That was awesome Kristan. I am so glad that we as a family are trying to spend less not because of the money,(that too) but because we do not want our children to grow up thinking "it is all about me and what I want" but all about Him. We limit the gifts to three per child because Jesus recieved three gifts and we feel that three is a great number for our children. Though my children are still babies, I hope to always make memories with them by helping others. My three year old loved picking out gifts for operation Christmas child. It is such a great feeling and I will give it all to Jesus because we were able to help this year.

  2. I got this from Dennis' sermon. He showed it to MHCC last Sunday and I think the previous Sunday too.

I love that my girls don't even know to ask for something for Christmas really (of course they don't watch TV so they wouldn't know what to ask for anyways). I hate asking for something for Christmas-- I have never really done that myself. I like that the advent calander "gifts" make them ecstatic and all they are is little things each night like erasers, stickers, pencils-- dollar items taken out of the package and separated into 24 little gifts. They are happy with whatever they get. Ollie would rather give than get too. I took her shopping to spend her $10 birthday money from her friend and she bought something for the Turkey. She has put gifts under the tree (her toys) in homemade gift bags for, "kids who don't have any toys".

  3. That's great! You have some beautiful girls inside and out. I like to think that we are doing SOMETHING right. Ha Ha Ha. I take it for granted sometimes, but we had and still have great parents that placed us on the right path as young children. On the Christan path and that we chose to follow Him. I am so glad that God called me and that I listened. I pray that I do not mess up anything that God has planned for my children. May you be blessed today Kristan.
