Goodbyes are hard to do.

Goodbyes are so hard. I don't get to see my family or Hubby's nearly enough. This morning my sister and her prescious family left. I only get to see her a couple of times a year. Next time I see my sweet kitten she will be running with the big kids. No matter what my dear editor thought, she did like me. At one point she was sitting on Nanny's lap and was fussy, I came into the room and she looked at me, smiled and held her arms up for me to take her. Oh, what a moment. Then we were in the hall and my sister came in and went to take her; she turned her head away from her. I think this was not gas! :) At least it is a moment I will not forget too easily. She does love her auntie, AND I love her.

We are leaving today from here (as soon as hubby gets off work to come and get us) to go to Mom's house --"Grenmol" as she has been affectionately name by Ollie. I tried to correct her, but she said she liked to call her that and not Grandma. The girls are quite beside themselves in anticipation of seeing her. They haven't seen her since late August or early September. I have nagged hubby to the point, I'm sure, of his frustration about getting off early today so that we can leave earlier and go tonight instead of tomorrow. Our 4 day trip has to be cut by a day for his job training on Monday, so I want to get as early of a start as possible. I was really hoping that with the 3+ hours of overtime to make up for this week and the 4 hours of PTO he will be losing tonight would make it so that he didn't have to be there at all today, but he is very needed there and couldn't get off, much to our disappointment.

Well at least he is getting off early! I'm glad about that. It looks like we will be getting to his mom's about the time he is actually scheduled to get off work (at least that is what it is looking like) and we can surprise her before supper time. Surprises are so fun!

This is my last blog for the year. I will be at Mom's for the next couple of days and won't have easy access to a computer. Although, I do have to find a way to check the Disney site tomorrow for the sign up for "give a day, get a day" program. We are going to my sister's house in FL later this winter and really want to take the girls to Disney. It just so happens that if you donate a day of your time to volunteering at certain non-profit organizations you get a day free a Disney. This would mean one for me and one for Hubby, and if Ollie were 6 she could too. Check out the site, if you don't use the ticket, you can donate it. It really is a pretty neat thing Disney is doing. We LOVE Disney World.

Happy New Year to you all. I'll blog about resolutions next time! (Do you have any?) Now I'm off to tend to the day and get ready to move on from here. Love you all!

To my editor- turning it over to you! Have a good one. Hope to hear from you in the new year.
